Early draft, I know it isn't particularly well written but I just wanted to get my ideas on paper. Background 22 BBY – Clone Wars During the clone wars Diekid’s father was captain of a small republic freighter called The Murmalon. Three months after the Battle at Geonosis The Murmalon was transporting supplies to a planet under separatist blockade. During what is referred to in history books as the Murmalon run the small transport vessel managed to break through the blockade and resupply the fighting republic forces. In memory of the brotherhood formed on that ship the crew all agreed to take the name Murmalon. 18 BBY – The birth of Diekid After the clone wars Diekid snr returned home to a war torn Mon Calamari. As a reward for his service he was given the position of ambassador on the planet Naboo. Diekid snr and his wife relocated to Naboo where they had the older of their two children, Diekid jr. 18 – 3 BBY – The school years Diekid was quite a child prodigy when it came to academics. He excelled in several areas including math and languages. He was also quite active during his younger years causing a lot of trouble and mischief. At age two he got a younger sister who was named Diekida. Diekid and Diekida were quite different growing up and although they were constantly fighting at home deep down they had a strong connection. 2 BBY – The Mon Calamari uprising With Mon Calamari becoming one of the first outspoken supporters of the Rebel Alliance all embassies on imperial controlled planets were closed. Diekid’s family were arrested on charges of treason. Diekid who was at school managed to avoid capture and through some more or less shady characters Diekid managed to get a medic job on a Corellian freighter with a trade-route past Naboo. 0 BBY – Joining the rebellion During his 2nd year on-board the freighter which had rescued him from Naboo, the crew got caught-up in the aftermath of the capture of the Tantive in orbit of Tatooine. The Corellian freighter was transporting some spice related products for Jabba the Hutt when they were stopped by imperial customs. The imperials were searching for the lost plans to the Deathstar and conducted a thurough searc of the freighter. The ship was impounded and most of the crew including the captain were transported off to work-colonies. Diekid and some of the low ranking crew were set free in Mos Eisley, which without any money or resources can be a fate worse than death. Diekid, however, got lucky and ran into a man who recognized him and his name. This man presented himself as Zyf. It turned out that he was actually Zyf Murmalon, first officer on The Murmalon during the clone wars, now an aged officer in the Rebel Alliance. Zyf recruited Diekid into the alliance just in time to serve as ground-crew during the battle of Yavin. 0.5 ABY – Rescue of Diekida Diekid’s medical skills were put to good use in the Rebel Alliance, working in hospitals behind the enemy lines. However when Diekid heard of plans to free Mon Calamari slave laborers from an internment camp previously controlled by Tarkin, Diekid volunteered. The rescue party was arranged by Ackbar who had found out about the camp during his time as a personal slave of Tarkin. The rescue operation met heavy resistance from specially trained stormtroopers of Tarkins personal regiment. Diekid was commended for his excellent medic skills and ability to keep his head cool and focused in the heat of battle. In the internment camp Diekid found his beloved sister, working as a personal slave to one of the officers in charge of the camp. His parents, however, were nowhere to be seen. Diekida informed her brother that she had been separated from her parents right after they were put in prison. Their parents were not seen fit for slave labor work and were transported to a prison in an unknown location. After being rescued Diekida moved back to Naboo and joined the social elite. She never officially joined the rebellion but has no love for the empire. 1 ABY – Joining the kingdom of Honour Working in the field Diekid got in contact with the forces of the Kingdom of Honour who were allied with the Rebel Alliance and fought on the same battlefield as Diekid’s unit. Making a lot of friends in Honour it required little persuasion for Diekid to join. 1.5 ABY – The finding of The Murmalon Five months after joining Honour Diekid’s dedication to his cause had put him in favor with the king of Honour, Makavelle. Makevelle had seen fit to promote him into one of his personal Knights fighting together with the king in the battlefield and leading his forces. Zyf informed Diekid that The Murmalon had been located in an Imperial ship-yard. Recon of the ship-yard revealed that it was used to store a lot of impounded rebel or smuggler ships. Diekid informed his superiors of the location who decided to raid the installation taking as many captured ships as possible to reinforce the Honour fleet. 2 ABY – Present day Diekid has been promoted to High Knight making him one of the high commanders of the Honour forces.
